Marin's work starts as an introspection, questioning upbringing, codes and growth, rejecting imposed views, accepting flaws and acknowledging a freer path to womanhood/motherhood while also anthropologically analyze the body though a timeline. Among others, “la peau”, the skin, it’s life marks and footprints… what happened to us and who we want to be? Themes such as duality, self-acceptance and balance of power are discussed and translated by the use of strong living materials (leather, hair, wood). Marin best expressed herself through colors and textures, creating a tactile subject though skin, monotypes, and juxtapositions. Reflecting the body, its parts, peoples’ relationships to it. What is imposed by society versus the reality of it?
